  Drove from SE Grand Rapids - Arrived at 4:56 and was turned away because they do not accept anyone after 4:55. 1 minute late! The published hours state 5:00 but they had a printed piece of paper in the window stating nobody after 4:55. The female worker was rude and just kept saying that is the policy and pointing to the piece of paper. She did let me talk to her supervisor who also confirmed their policy. He seemed as if he was considering to allow me to drop our load and even looked at what we were dropping (not even a half of a pickup bed of lumber) he turned me away but did say sorry. I would have had everything dumped and been on my way by 5:05 instead we debated whether they would break their policy for an extra 10 plus minutes. Could have been done and gone in this time. I really don't think anyone is expecting great customer service from a landfill but they should at least update their site with accurate closing times. incredible inconvenience!
